Chain Parameters

The chain movement can be configured individually at each station and works in combination with the station's work position parameter to determine the physical work position.

Chain parameters define how many links and in which order the chain moves each time the operator activates the switch.

Useful commands:

Sets the station chain's enter and exit parameters

🔒 Requires Permission 0039 • Change Work Position
chainExit

Chain's exit parameter

chainEnter

Chain's enter parameter

Sets the station's working position

🔒 Requires Permission 0039 • Change Work Position
workingPosition

Sequence of wanted working position

Examples

Even

Chain Exit: 6
Chain Enter: 6

Exit and Enter values are the same. When the operator button is pressed, the chain moves 6 links, then stops and lets another carrier into the chain.

Work position should always be 2 or higher on manned stations with even chain spec

Uneven

Chain Exit: 10
Chain Enter: 4

The chain first moves the difference between the Exit and Enter values, in this example its (10-4=6) 6 links - to exit the carrier in work position. Then the station feeds a new carrier into the chain and moves the Enter value, in this case 4 links.

Beware of work position location with uneven chain spec
