Ad Hoc Operations

Ad hoc operations are a way to perform operations that are not originally in the route, these additional operations maybe added at any stage of production, even on an empty carrier.

To add an operation, use the following terminal command

Insert an additional ad hoc operation on the carrier in work position.
Added operations must either have an assigned station group, or be in
a route already assigned to the carrier.

🔒 Requires Permission 0068 • Set Next Operation
operationId

Id of the operation to perform

It's also possible to add multiple ad hoc operations at once via the product search page.

When multiple operations are added at once, they will be performed after the currently ongoing operation, in the order that they are added.

To add an ad hoc operation to a carrier, the system will also need a station group where the operation will be performed. There are two ways the system can find a station group.

  • Have a station group configured on the operation itself.
  • The operation is already in a route currently assigned to the carrier. The station group from the route will be used in this case.

Note about Buffer Operations

Adding a buffer operation as an ad hoc operation is permitted, however do not attempt to use it in combination with a Calling Buffer. This is not yet supported and will not work properly.
