Product Detector

Function available from version 1.13

Basic

The product detector is a node with a sensor that can detect if the carrier passing by has a product attached to it or not. The result of the detection is saved on the carrier until it reaches the next workstation and can be used by Routing Rules.

Allowed node types that may have a detector is 28 (Line Server), 228 (Additional Line Server) and 106 (Line Reader). The node should have the Has Product Detector flag set for detection to work.

If the result is different from what the system expects it to be, the target rail routing rule will be checked if it has a "readdressing rule".

Readdressing rules can be one of the following

Send on Route

The carrier will be sent on an extra route, for carriers with missing products the route should be an Inspection and for carriers with unexpected product the route should be of type Return Empty Carrier.

Send to Rail

The carrier may be directly addressed to a rail using mechanical addressing.

Reset Routing (Readdress)

The carrier destination is reset and the carrier will be attempt to re-route to a different destination. If there is no valid destination, the carrier will stay on the line.

â„šī¸ Readdressed carriers may still use the same destination if there is no rule on that rail preventing it from entering.

There are two sets of these readdressing rules, one for when the product is missing and one for when the carrier unexpectedly has a product. A routing rule may provide handling for none, either or both of these cases.

Bridges

Bridges may also be configured with routing rules to prevent, allow, or readdress a carrier with a certain detected state. These rules are evaluated when a carrier is about to unload to a bridge, and the last detection state is used.
