Line

A line is the main conveyor belt connecting stations together. Controlled by a line server, with its own terminal.

Id

The line Id. Should be between 1-99. Stations on the line should be numbered starting from 1000 * line Id.

Line Server Node

Line server node that controls and monitors the line status.

Motor Group

This is the motor group that contains all the motors that run the belt on this line. For some legacy systems where the line server fully controls the motors on a line, this may be left intentionally blank.

Manually Stopped

An operator may stop the line and lock it from automatically starting with the command

.0 F8

A line will also enter this state after a line error occurs, requiring a manual start.

Status

See line errors.

Cogs Timeout

Cogs Timeout is the maximum number of milliseconds, divided by 2, between cog sensor pulses for the line server to consider the line to be running. Setting this value too low may result in erroneous line stop detection. Default value = 100, which gives a 50ms timeout value.

Out 24 V Overload

The maximum current draw of all node card outputs. If set to 0, the default value in the node card is user instead (160, which is equal to 2 A). Should not be adjusted from default value.

Pulse Cogs

The number of cogs on the cog wheel sensor.
Normal value is 15, but on older plastic wheels the value may be 17.

Unload Cogs Hold

This is the number of cogs that the unloading arm is activated when unloading to a rail on this line. Default value is 22 for single carriers and 30 for trolley carriers.

Line Speed

Line speed is measured using a line sensor. The sensor has a cog wheel connected with the line belt.
The main line moves typically at about 20 m/min (~66 ft/min) or 0.3 m/s (~1 ft/s).

Line Length

Line length together with line speed makes it possible to approximate how long it will take for a carrier to go from one station to another or a lap around the line.

For example:
A line 100 m long running at typical speed will take around 310 s to traverse (5.2 min)

Capacity

Capacity shows how many pushers are installed on the line belt, which gives how many carriers the belt can transport at one time.

Description

A custom description of the line, for instance if you need to specify in which hall it is located, or which other lines it connect to.
