💬 This guide assumes you have done the previous basic guides in sequence.
Let's create an inspection route so that our operators can send products with suspected quality defects to the inspection operator.
Creating the Inspect Operation
- Navigate the menu to Administration > Operations
- Click ➕ to create a new operation
- Enter "20" as operation id.
- In the "Type" dropdown, select "Inspection"
- In the name field, enter "QC Inspection"
- Click Save
Creating the Inspection Route
- Navigate the menu to Administration > Routes
- Click ➕ to add a new route.
- Put in "Inspection" as the route name.
- Select "Inspection" in the "Type" dropdown.
- Enter "1" as the route code
- Click Save
Adding the Inspection Operation to the Route
- Open the recently created inspection route by clicking on ▶️ next to the route name
- Since this is an empty route, it will start on the "Operations" tab
- Click ➕ to add a new operation into the route
- In the operation dropdown, select our recently created "QC Inspection" operation
- Put the cursor in the input field below Station Group dropdown, input 1004 and press Enter to specify that we will be performing our operation on station 1004.
- Click Save
Saving the Inspection Route
- Switch to the "Stations" tab, it should now look like the picture below
- Click the green Save button then confirm.
- Our inspection route is now ready to use!
Tips
💡 Inspection stations can benefit from having a positive Addressing Capacity Overload of +1 or +2 so that it may send carriers even when the destination station would normally be considered full. This is to prevent a bottleneck from forming on the inspection operation.
