💬 This guide assumes you have completed the basic administration guides as well as creating a buffer operation and buffer call setup.
For this guide, the operator needs to have access to the UI either via a PC or a tablet.
Preparation
We need to give the unloading operator a UI login in order to access the buffer calling interface
As the supervisor, navigate the menu to Administration > Users > Users
Find "Operator 3" and click the 📝 button to edit the user
Enable the "Eton UI Account" checkbox
Enter "operator3" in the "Username" input box
Enter "password123" in both of the password input boxes
Click Save
Follow the production guide and complete a sewing operation
The carrier should head off to station 1004 after the operator switch is pressed on station 1002
Wait until the carrier has arrived on rail 1004
Making the Buffer Call
- Log into the UI with the operator account we previously created (username: "operator3", password: "password123").
- Navigate the menu to Buffer Callings
- In the "Operation" dropdown, select our buffer operation "Buffer".
- In the dropdown below the "Buffer Content" header, select "Order".
- The right side of the screen will now show the orders in the buffer along with their quantity.
- Press the filter button to select the order we want to call for. In our example the only available option is "100".
- The right side will be automatically filled in with our selection and the available quantity.
- Now press the "Call" button to call for this order
- The carrier should now automatically leave station 1004 and head to the unloading operation on station 1003.
