The last step before we can produce our article is to add an order that references our article
Adding an Order
Navigate the menu to Administration > Orders to add an order.
- Click ➕
- Enter an order number. Let's call our order "100"
- Click Save
Tips
💡 Original order number is used if for instance integrating with an external order system with its own order number.
💡 Original order number, Customer, Order Date, First Manufacturing Date, Delivery Date are statistical fields and have no functionality in the Eton System.
💡 Warehouse Orders can be used to create orders without a fixed quantity for continuous production.
Add order lines
- Click ▶️ to expand the order
- Click ➕ to add an order line
- Enter a numerical order line number. As with the order number this is an alphanumeric value, but should usually be a numeric value to be able to input it on the terminal keypad. Let's call our order line "1".
- Select the article (Article 1).
- Enter a order line quantity (10)
- Click the Save button to save the order line.
Tips
💡 Order and order line numbers have to be numeric in order to enter them on the terminal keypad.
💡 Clicking the "Advanced" checkbox will show more options for both the order and order line.
💡 Multiple orders can be quickly added with the Production Wizard.
💡 One or more criteria can be set on the order lines to save information about them. See also Criteria and Order Line.
