💬 This guides assumes you have done the basic administration guide as well as the creating a fault code guide.
💬 You can also register a fault using the web terminal, please see the other guide.
Registering a Fault
- Follow the production guide until the carrier reaches work position on the unloading station (1003).
- Let's pretend the unloading operator discovers a fault on the product and decides to send it back for repair.
- The operator enters "99 F6" on the terminal. This command will abort the ongoing operation and begin a fault registration.
Open the fault registration menu. If a fault is registered, the current operation will be aborted.
🔒 Requires Permission 0036 • Register FaultAfter the repair has been made, the carrier will return to this operation.
- The fault registration menu is now displayed on the terminal screen
- The first step is to select which operation is the faulty operation. The selection will default to the last performed operation.
- It's possible to browse the performed operations with F1 and F2 keys.
- Make sure the "Sewing" operation is selected, then press the F3 key.
- The second step is to select the fault code. This is done in the same fashion as selection the operation in the previous step.
- Select "Sewing Fault" (401) and press F3 to complete the fault registration.
- Now push the operator switch to complete the fault registration.
- The product will now head back to station 1002 to correct the sewing operation.
Performing the repair
- The operator on station 1002 will perform the operation in the same way as a regular operation. There are no extra steps.
- After the sewing operation has been completed once again, the carrier will head back a second time to station 1003 for unloading.
Tips
💡 The fault isn't finalized until the carrier leaves the station work position. It is possible to cancel a fault registration by entering
💡 For experienced operators, there is a faster way to register faults via the terminal with a single command. In our example the command would be "99.2.401 F6". "2" referring to the operation with id 2 (Sewing) and "401" being the fault code.
💡 Registering faults require the Register Fault Permission.
💡 Faults may also be registered using a tablet and the web terminal. This can speed up the process especially when the operation lists are long.
